Greeson: No Show idea not short of great food, noble intentions

We are halfway through the spring fundraising event season.

You know what I’m talking about.

A fish fry here. A black-tie dinner there. Support the arts or some other worthy cause that certainly needs the funds. Or maybe someone from work needs help filling a table at this lunch or dinner. Maybe a neighborhood kid is selling a box of cookies.

Hey, it’s that time of the year.

(Side note: I view the event/cookie/raffle requests the same way I view airport rides and moving help. It’s old school, and it’s simple: I will not ask you, but then you can’t ask me. Deal? Deal. I will box and shuttle my stuff to a new home, and I will get myself to Lovell Field. Hey, if you want to buy my can of peanuts, then I will buy your cookies. Deal? Deal.)
