2012 cold case homicide suspect has turned himself in

The suspect at the center of a 2012 cold case homicide of 25-year-old Leslie Townsend has now turned himself in.

A Hamilton County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 29-year-old Justin Anthony Thurman on charges of first-degree felony murder and attempted especially aggravated robbery.

Thurman had been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's most wanted list.

On Friday, Thurman turned himself in to the Hamilton County Jail and is in the process of being booked.
