Baylor dominated Chattanooga Christian to open the Red Raiders’ home schedule with a 49-6 win Friday night.
Junior running back Elijah Howard led the cruise with three touchdowns.
“It was good for the home opener to walk away with a win,” Baylor coach Phil Massey said. “We wanted to make sure we got a lot stuff done tonight. We got a lot of backups in that got some good playing time.”
Massey said it was also important to remain healthy going into next week.
“We’ve got a big game next week going into our first region game (against Father Ryan),” he said. “(Tonight was) a good start; now we have to refocus.”
