Agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force (LMJCDTF) have arrested several people in multiple locations for alleged meth possession, according to a Thursday Facebook post.

Matthew Crawford of Lafayette, Ga., was arrested Wednesday on the 800 block of Jones Rd. after agents obtained a search warrant. The LMJCDTF reports he has been the target of a month-long investigation into the distribution of large quantities methamphetamine in Northwest Georgia.

Over a quarter pound of methamphetamine, four firearms, two stolen firearms, digital scales and US currency were found at the address. Crawford has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent for resale, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of firearm by convicted felon. Agents are continuing the investigation and expect to make more arrests, the post states.

On the same day, Shane Bennett of Rock Spring, Ga., Brian Collins of Lafayette, Ga., and Julie Turner of Lafayette, Ga., were also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Collins and Turner were arrested on Fortune St. by LMJCDTF and the Lafayette Street Crimes Unit. Bennett also faces an additional charge for obstruction of an officer.

Joshua Wiley of Lafayette, Ga., was also arrested for parole violation, according to the post.
