What were the biggest job additions announced in East Tennessee during 2019?

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development said four of the top five major job additions announced in East Tennessee in 2019 came in Southeast Tennessee. The biggest projects of the year in East Tennessee were:

1. Volkswagen expansion, 1,000 jobs and $800 million expansion to make electric vehicles in Chattanooga

2. Arrive Logistics, 500 jobs in Chattanooga for new logistics brokerage office

3. Mueller Water Products, 325 jobs and $41 million investment in Kimball to expand production of vavles and water equipment

4. Stulz Air Technology Systems, 250 jobs and $2 million for a new HVAC equipment plant in Dayton

5. Ebm-papst Inc., 200 jobs and a $37 million investment in Telford to make electric motors and fans
