A Higdon, Alabama, man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a single vehicle accident on Alabama 117 about two miles south of Mentone in DeKalb County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Jimmy Richard Morgan, 29, was killed when his 2013 Chevrolet left the road about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday and crashed into a tree, agency spokesman Cutus Summerville said in a news release.
Morgan was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the crash is continuing.
