The TBI on Tuesday arrested a second person in a Jan. 19 slaying in Crossville, Tennessee, according to a news release.

Doneal Clark, 35, was arrested Tuesday in Cumberland County on one count of first-degree murder in the death of 74-year-old Linda Damewood. Clark is being held on $2 million bond, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said. The first arrest in the case made Jan. 22 put Clark’s husband, Kirk Douglas Clark, 35, behind bars on charges of first-degree murder, authorities said. He’s held on $1.5 million bond.

The TBI said Damewood was shot to death at the house where she lived on Cherokee Trail in Crossville. Investigators first identified Kirk Clark as a suspect in Damewood’s death and later developed information leading to charges against Doneal Clark.

Thirteenth Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway’s office is prosecuting the case.
