Georgia and elite running backs tend to go together in recruiting, and the 2020 cycle will be no different.

Kendall Milton, a 6-foot-2, 229-pounder from Clovis, California, gave the Bulldogs a nonbinding pledge Monday night after taking recent visits to Ohio State, LSU, Georgia and Alabama. Milton, a five-star prospect, is the nation’s No. 4 running back and the No. 22 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

Milton rushed for 1,337 yards and 27 touchdowns as a Buchanan High junior after amassing 1,514 yards and 23 scores as a sophomore. He is the third five-star recruit on Georgia’s 2020 commitment list, joining outside linebacker Mekhail Sherman of Washington, D.C., and offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Atlanta suburb of Lithonia.

If Milton signs with Georgia in December or February, he would be the ninth running back ranked among the top 100 overall recruits within the last decade to do so, joining Isaiah Crowell, Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, D’Andre Swift, James Cook and Zamir White.
