An Ooltewah man has died from injuries he suffered in a shooting earlier this week, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
John Dee Haynes, 24, was injured when Tyler Reid, 21, allegedly shot him around 2 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Heatherlock Lane.
Reid was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder and is being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
The district attorney’s office has been notified and will determine further charges, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
