Firefighters arrived on the scene at 10:40 a.m. reporting that flames were visible on the front and back of the house. Fire personnel conducted an interior search of the unit and reported nobody was inside the four apartments.

The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and East Ridge Fire Department stood by at the Highway 58 fire stations for any additional emergency calls in their district.
Highway 58 fire officials reported that the quadruplex was a total loss. The cause of the fire was accidental and started in the kitchen. No injuries were reported.
Hamilton County Emergency Services and the American Red Cross were called to the scene in case of any injuries to assist four adults and two children with their emergency needs.
