Happy Monday, Chattanooga! Today’s forecast calls for pleasant temps and plenty of sunshine.

Fact: The sun is the best source of Vitamin D, which is essential for healthy bones. According to the Vitamin D Council, you need to expose your skin to the sun for only around half the time it takes to burn. For fair-skinned folks, that’s about 15 minutes. For those with darker skin, that can be up to an hour. Soak it in, y’all!

And now for three equally as radiant stories:

Chattanooga was just voted as having the Best Overall City Experiences for the grueling Ironman triathlon, despite a year in which heavy rain caused organizers to cancel a leg of the race.

Check out this video of Hixson firefighters rescuing a dog who became trapped in a house wall last week. How did the dog become trapped, you ask? One word: Squirrel!
