The Chattanooga Lookouts didn’t post a no-hitter Monday night at AT&T Field, but they did continue their winning ways with a 3-2 triumph over the Tennessee Smokies.

Lookouts starting pitcher Scott Moss did not allow a hit through six innings but was replaced in the seventh. Moss threw 91 pitches, striking out nine while walking four.

Monday’s game was scoreless until the seventh inning, when the Lookouts pounced for a 3-0 lead on an Ibandel Isabel triple to left field that scored Taylor Trammell, a Tyler Stephenson single to center that scored Isabel and a Gavin LaValley triple to left that scored Stephenson.

The Smokies pulled within 3-2 in the eighth when Roberto Caro singled to left to score Connor Myers and Jared Young singled to right to score Caro.

Chattanooga won its fourth straight game to improve to 16-13. The Lookouts and Smokies will vie again tonight at AT&T in the second of a five-game series.
