LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) -- A judge has found probable cause to prosecute a Georgia police officer who allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint in front of her friend.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that former Lithonia officer David Wilborn's lawyer had no comment after Monday's hearing. Wilborn was fired and charged with rape, aggravated assault and violating his oath.

Dekalb Police Sgt. T.R. Benjamin testified that Wilborn ordered the victim and her male friend out of a car and made the man get on his knees, where he was too scared to intervene. Benjamin said Wilborn then pushed the woman against the car, raised her dress with his gun and raped her.

The former Atlanta police officer told his supervisor that he had consensual sex and that he knew his career was over.
