The 33rd Annual Chattanooga celebration of National Philanthropy Day to honor those who have given back to the community will be Nov. 13 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The fundraiser is hosted each year by the Southeast Tennessee Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. It is held to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions philanthropy has made on the lives of community members.

This year's recipients are:

Barbie Standefer, Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year

Sankofa Fund for Civic Engagement, Corporate Philanthropist of the Year

Lynda Minks Hood, Chattanooga Bar Association, Leadership Fundraiser of the Year

Claire Calhoun, GPS graduate, Youth in Philanthropy

The event is being sponsored by Chattanooga accounting firm Elliott Davis.

"We are excited to recognize this year's honorees for their philanthropic efforts and commitment to giving back in our community," said National Philanthropy Day Chairwoman Brianne Lalor in a statement. "This special event not only pays tribute to the honorees, it also showcases our city's spirit of giving."

The event will be held 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tickets are available for $45 per person or $450 for a table of 8. For more information contact Brianne Lalor at blalor@nnhouse.org or 423-267-2217. Tickets are available at https://community.afpnet.org/setn/home.
