For the second year in a row, Volkswagen Chattanooga has been certified as a Top U.S. Employer for 2020.

Volkswagen Chattanooga is one of 24 U.S. employers to receive this acknowledgement from the Top Employers Institute, a global independent Human Resources certification company. To be certified as a Top Employer, 600 working condition practices and indicators are assessed and validated.

“This recognition is a direct result of working together with our employees to enrich and improve our culture,” said Burkhard Ulrich, senior vice president of human resources at Volkswagen Chattanooga. “As we continue to grow our Tennessee operations, our people are helping us to build a better workplace.”

The Top Employer Institute assessed Volkswagen Chattanooga’s human resources practices and policies in the following areas: talent strategy; culture; workforce planning; compensation and benefits; talent acquisition; onboarding; learning and development; performance management; and leadership development.

The annual, international research recognizes employers around the world who successfully achieve the required standards for top employment practices and working conditions.
