Motorists traveling Alabama Highway 117 in Mentone on Thursday might experience some delays due to the start of a $5.7 million bridge project, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Charleston, Tennessee-based Wright Brothers Construction Co. is the contractor that will be setting arches on the new bridge over the west fork of the Little River in Mentone, ALDOT officials said in a statement on the work.
Weather permitting, intermittent lane closures will be possible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT Thursday, Jan. 16 and Friday, Jan. 17, and again on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and Thursday, Jan. 23, according to ALDOT.
