The country's second Walmart Health Center opened on Wednesday in Calhoun, Georgia, and one of the world's most acclaimed actors was on hand to celebrate.

Actor, producer and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg, who was in Atlanta on Tuesday promoting his latest Wahlburgers restaurant, made a stop at the Calhoun opening to help mark the occasion.

The state-of-the-art facility will provide quality, affordable and accessible health care for members of the Calhoun community, according to a news release from Walmart U.S. Health and Wellness.

Walmart Health is partnering with several health providers to deliver primary and urgent care, labs, X-ray and diagnostics, counseling, dental, optical and hearing services, as community health education classes through a partnership with Tivity Health, all in one facility.

The Calhoun Walmart Health Center is the second such location the retailer has opened. The first opened last September in nearby Dallas, Georgia.

"We think we can make an impactful difference in affordability, convenience and, most importantly, accessibility for the Calhoun community," said Sean Slovenski, senior vice president and president of Walmart U.S. Health and Wellness, in the release. "We have a history of launching innovative products and programs that have transformed the industry and created significant healthcare savings for customers. Now, we're focused on a solution to provide affordable integrated care that our customers want and deserve."

Walmart announced in a release that to celebrate the clinic's opening it will make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help meet women's health needs. The donation is expected to help with expanded access to care including mammogram screenings, education and support services for underserved and at-risk patients in Georgia.

The new pharmacy is designed with the customer in mind, integrating feedback from thousands of customers to put convenience, simplicity and elevated service at the forefront in the redesigned space.

The normal business hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments can be made at walmarthealth.com.

Aside from his trip to Calhoun, Walhberg was also spotted this week at an event with Gov. Brian Kemp and U.S. ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell.
