Local groups Lakeside, Past to Present, Stop 'n' Stare and The Hullenders performed at the Catoosa County 4th of July Festival at the Colonnade in Ringgold. Catoosa County Commission Chairman Steven Henry said county leaders saw an opportunity to get on the festival map as other events fell off the calendar.

"Watching everything else cancel, I kept thinking it's been a bad enough 2020, with the COVID and the tornadoes. I just really wanted to try to bring some sense of normal back in the community," he said.

The Fourth of July Weekend saw all kinds of watercraft on the Hiwassee River Blueway from inner tubes, inflatable rafts, kayaks and drift boats.
