He must have said it

Apparently, the lie that President Trump called the coronavirus a hoax is being machined by the leftist national media to rank up there with the oft-repeated untruth that he praised racists during a 2017 Charlotte rally in which one person died.

CNN hosts Ana Cabrera and Boris Sanchez both recently served up the obfuscation. Cabrera, in talking with former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci, wondered whether there’s anyone “who privately would tell the president, you can’t call this a hoax, it’s no joke, and you are going to put everyone at risk if you don’t take this seriously.” On another occasion, she referred to his “original claims of a hoax.”

Sanchez told former Obama official Samantha Vinograd that the president has “suggested that this coronavirus epidemic – pandemic – is a hoax perpetrated by Democrats.” He later said, “Case in point. Two weeks ago, Trump called the response about the gravity of the virus a hoax. It’s not.”

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell joined the parade of shame recently when he said the president “now falsely claims he always knew it would be a pandemic even when he said it was a hoax.”
