Chattanooga police investigating shooting outside of Brainerd restaurant

Chattanooga police are investigating after one man was shot in what appears to be a drive-by shooting outside the Flaming Rooster restaurant, according to police.

Located at 3202 Brainerd Road, police responded to the call around noon Thursday and a 29-year-old man told authorities he heard a gunshot and then realized he had been shot, a news release states. He ran inside of the restaurant to ask for help.

The man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, the release states.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip through the CPD mobile app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
