MEMORIAL DAY 2020
While most of us might be spending Memorial Day weekend relaxing or outside grilling and social distancing, the long weekend is a reminder that freedom is not free. In honor of Memorial Day and those who have given their lives for our country, I’d like to highlight a recent story on our TFP Families page that acknowledges and honors these sacrifices.
To celebrate the grand reopening of the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center in downtown Chattanooga, the organization has launched a new podcast called “Valorcast.”
The first episode, about 20 minutes long, is titled “Sammy Davis, The Real Forrest Gump.” Davis starts the episode by reciting the Gettysburg address for a sound check, continues by explaining how the phrase “Run, Forrest, Run” came about and finishes with the story of how his medal of honor was stolen.
