Your Friday at a glance:
- Weather: Sunny and partly cloudy with a high of 92 and a 60% chance of rain/thunderstorms
- What we’re doing: What do you get when you mix a barbecue, free comic books and the “Long Island Medium”? A Chattanooga-area weekend full of events.
- What we’re proud of: Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee was in town on Wednesday and recognized 15 Hamilton County schools with the Governor’s Civics Seal.
- What we’re excited for: Hopefully our cloudy trend clears up since the Perseids meteor shower is peaking in the area.
- What we’re extra excited for: Four words. Trader. Joes. Opening. Date.
Good morning Good Day readers!
After such a crazy year, some people may be looking for ways to give back.
Two weeks ago, the Chattanooga Times Free Press teamed up with other local organizations to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House, a program that gives families with critically ill or injured children a comfortable place to stay near the hospital.
If you’re looking for a way to donate your time to a good cause, we’ve compiled a list of more than 100 charitable Chattanooga-area events to mark on your calendar before the end of the year.
