Good morning, Chattanooga!
Tuesday morning I stopped by the grocery store to pick up two things I expect to be a bit scarce by the end of the week: collard greens and black-eyed peas.
With the new year right around the corner, the fare seems to be pretty common in both Southern and Black culture.
“My mom makes black-eyed peas every year for her daughters and granddaughters,” says Brittany Golden of Hixson on the Times Free Press Facebook page.
