Summer Already in Full Swing
On Friday, I attended the first in the city’s free Nightfall concert series. It’s something I look forward to each year and feel lucky to have as an option, and clearly I was not alone in that this year.
I have never seen so many people there before.
After more than a year at home – touching scenes of which are documented in our first story below – it seems everyone is ready to live again. I cannot count how many conversations I’ve overheard or been a part of in just the past week that reference the overwhelming resurgence of pedestrians, diners and visitors downtown.
After seeing those streets and storefronts empty for so long, it feels like the city’s population tripled in size just ahead of summer. This week we also bring you several stories to help you make the most of yours.
