Labor Day weekend brings watch and clock collectors, 'Antarctica' and 'Shang-Chi' at Imax Theater

Contributed Photo by BBC/NHU / The new Imax film "Antarctica" shows the diverse life that calls Earth's coldest, driest, windiest continent home, such as this Weddell seal pup and its mother. Pups feed on extremely rich milk and double their weight in the first two weeks of their life.

Bonnaroo's a bust, thanks to Hurricane Ida, but Valley Vibes could be an option. The music and arts festival, with a little pro wrestling thrown in for good measure, gathers some three dozen Chattanooga-area bands for a three-day weekend at Bella Sera, a 156-acre venue in Wildwood, Georgia.

Labor Day weekend also means it's closing time for Lake Winnepesaukah's SoakYa water park, NoogaSplash and Summer Music Weekends at Rock City.

Here's a chronology of the next few days in entertainment.

- Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View, offers Throwback Thursday admission, which is free to the permanent collection, $5 for the featured exhibition, "Power, Passion & Pose," 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
