Your Thursday at a glance:
- Weather: A sunny day with a high of 82.
- What we’re eating: Recipes for making dinner without having to cook? Sign me up, especially in this humidity.
- What we’re encouraged by: Here’s how a hesitant Chattanooga city council member finally decided to get his COVID-19 vaccine.
- What’s coming back (temporarily): The city of Chattanooga will be doing a one-time emergency pickup of recycling next week ahead of a planned full reinstatement in October.
Good morning, Chattanooga!
Today is the day! UTC starts its fall football season today with a 7:30 p.m. opener against the Austin Peay Governors.
But the football players won’t be the only Mocs out on the field.
Randall Coleman, a former University of Alabama conducting professor and associate director of its well-known Million Dollar Band, is the new director of the UTC band and is looking to revamp the Marching Mocs.
