Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 15, vaccinations will be available to the public at the health department’s location in downtown Chattanooga at 921 E. 3rd St.

The Riverpark vaccination site will be closed.

The decision to move locations was made due to the new campus providing staff with shelter from weather and consolidating all vaccine administration into one building, the release states.

The new vaccine site is a walk-in clinic that will offer primary doses of the Pfizer vaccine for people ages 5 and up and booster doses for ages 12 and up. Moderna boosters are also offered for people ages 18 and up. No appointments are necessary.

If a minor is being vaccinated, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment and have current, valid photo identification. Legal guardians must bring proof of guardianship.

The clinic, open Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., is located on the second floor of the west wing of the building. Visitors can park in the parking garage located off Hampton Street and enter through the rear entrance and follow the signs to the clinic. People should bring their parking tickets inside to be validated at the registration desk. Masks are required inside the building.
