To do Sunday
* Plan a memorable trip: “The business of life is the acquisition of memories,” said Mr. Carson, the butler, in an episode of “Downton Abbey.” With that advice in mind, we’d recommend a visit to “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition,” which is extending its stay in Atlanta due to popular demand. The exhibition re-creates the iconic rooms of the Crawleys’ grand home from the revered PBS series, including Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen and the formal dining room, which visitors can explore alongside their favorite characters. Also on display are official costumes, artifacts and other never-before-seen elements and footage from the show. A historical component includes interactive features to educate fans about the post-Edwardian period in which the series takes place, moving forward toward the start of a more modern age in the 1930s where an upcoming feature film will pick back up. “Downton Abbey: A New Era,” a sequel to the original 2019 film, is due in theaters May 20. “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” is on view at Perimeter Pointe in Sandy Springs, 1155 Mount Vernon Hwy NE.
