Your Wednesday at a glance:
- Weather: Partly cloudy, high of 52.

- What to wear: If running in this cold weather appeals to you, here’s what a local ultramarathon runner suggests for your gear needs.

Good morning, Chattanooga!
New year, new me?
As it is the month of resolutions, many challenges and initiatives arise in January each year as people seek fresh starts in a new year.
On one hand, there is Veganuary, where people try to abstain from eating animal-based products. For locals looking to hop on the trend, here’s our list of area restaurants with vegan options.
And on the other, there is Dry January, a challenge to avoid alcohol for the month.
How do you kick off your new year?
I’m trying to avoid getting takeout all month, which is going great so far (at least until Thursday because I want to try the new-ish Jamaican restaurant in town with my friend before she moves. And then my birthday’s in a few weeks )
Now for some recent stories:
ON THE MOVE: Tennessee is again, for the second year in a row, among top stops to relocate to amid the pandemic.
STAYING SAFE: The Better Business Bureau has five tips on how to have a fraud-free new year.
COUNTING (ON) SHEEP (AND GOATS): Check out this cool photo and story of how Germany is using sheep and goats (and strategically placed pieces of bread) to promote vaccination in the county.
