Tennessee’s first full recruiting cycle of the Josh Heupel era continues to be quite active, as the Volunteers picked up their 15th commitment for the 2023 signing class Thursday afternoon and the sixth in the past three weeks.
Providing the latest nonbinding pledge was Cameron Seldon, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound athlete prospect from Northumberland High School in Heathsville, Virginia. He is the nation’s No. 7 athlete and No. 104 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings.
Seldon visited Knoxville on June 17 and picked the Vols over a slew of scholarship offers that included Michigan and Penn State.
“There are no cons,” Seldon told 247Sports. “It feels like the right fit. It feels like home.”
Seldon is Virginia’s Class 1A state champion in the 100 meters, having also set the Northumberland High record in that event in 10.74 seconds. Once at Tennessee, he expects to get a look at running back, receiver and return specialist.
