Signal Mountain Boulevard was shut down about halfway up the mountain on Saturday as Chattanooga firefighters worked to extinguish a brush fire.
Firefighters responded around 4 p.m. to reports of a brush fire, and the Chattanooga Fire Department reported on its Twitter feed the fire had been extinguished about three-and-a-half hours later.
“No homes or structures were impacted,” the tweet said. “Thanks to all who provided help on the call.”
