A loaded gun was confiscated from a student at The Howard School on Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
A school resource officer recovered the handgun from a student in one of the school’s hallways around 11:15 a.m., a news release said.
The student was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center. School district officials released a statement saying appropriate school disciplinary action will be taken.
