The Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves defeated the Birmingham Legion 4-1 Sunday night to move into first place in the USL W League's South Central Division.

The start of the match at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge was delayed more than two hours due to inclement weather in the area.

Mackenzie Smith scored once in each half, and Sinoxolo Cesane and Clarissa Salinas netted a goal apiece for the Lady Red Wolves (5-1-1), whose 16 points and average of 2.28 per match moved them ahead of the Legion (2-1-1), who have an average of 1.75. Birmingham avoided the shutout with a goal in the 54th minute.

It was the last home match on the schedule for Chattanooga until its June 30 regular-season finale against South Georgia Tormenta. The Lady Red Wolves will play four times on the road before then, facing North Alabama on Friday, then Birmingham (June 17), Tennessee (June 19) and Southern Soccer Academy (June 21).
