Mackenzie Smith's hat trick led the way Friday night for the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves, who dominated in a 7-0 road win against the North Alabama Soccer Coalition to improve to 6-1-1 in the USL W League's South Central Division.
Sinoxolo Cesane, Beatrice Currie, Jayla Gillespie and Zoey Mize also scored for the Lady Red Wolves, who have earned 19 points in the standings for an average of 2.38 per match. That's well ahead of the second-place Birmingham Legion, who lost 4-1 at Chattanooga on Sunday.
Chattanooga's next game is a June 17 rematch with Birmingham in Alabama. Only three dates will remain on the regular-season schedule for the Lady Red Wolves after that: June 19 at Tennessee, June 21 at Southern Soccer Academy and June 30 against South Georgia Tormenta at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.
