The Chattanooga Football Club continues to roll behind the strong leg of Markus Naglestad and stellar defensive play.

The National Independent Soccer Association's hottest team is still undefeated after eight matches as Chattanooga FC defeated the Maryland Bobcats 1-0 on Saturday night at Finley Stadium.

Naglestad drilled a free kick into the upper right corner of the net in the 62nd minute on a set piece just inches outside the box. It was Naglestad's sixth goal of the season and 33rd overall with CFC, which improved to 6-0-2 this season.

Jean Antoine stood tall in goal again to record his seventh clean sheet of the season. Antoine and Naglestad's performances this year could put each in strong contention for the NISA MVP award, which Naglestad won last season.

The Bobcats (3-2-0) played down a man for the final 11 minutes after one of their players received a second yellow card. With nine points in the standings, they are second in the nine-team league but 11 points behind CFC.

The teams have a quick rematch, meeting at 7 p.m. next Saturday in Maryland, although the Bobcats first host the Los Angeles Force on Wednesday.
