Residents and staff at several Morning Pointe Senior Living communities in the Chattanooga area are participating in The Samaritan Center’s Fall Food Drive, a campaign to help the nonprofit organization provide foods to those in need.
The drive, which runs through Nov. 15, will take place at Morning Pointe’s corporate offices in Cambridge Square (Ooltewah); Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove, 9650 Leyland Drive (Collegedale); and The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale, 9300 Messinger Lane.
“This year we’ve seen a staggering increase in food needs across eastern Hamilton County,” Brandi Dixon, community relations director for The Samaritan Center, said in a news release. “We are so thankful to the businesses and churches that are teaming up with us for this drive because no one should be without food on the table.”
Greg Vital, Morning Pointe president and co-founder, said the company serves seniors and the greater communities in which the facilities are located.
“I can’t think of a better cause or organization for us to support at this giving time of year,” he said in the release.
