A 23-year-old man is dead after a Sunday morning shooting on Bonny Oaks Drive, according to Chattanooga police.
Police responded to the parking lot of the VIP Lounge in the 4200 block of Bonny Oaks Drive and found the man suffering from gunshot injuries, according to a news release.
It was determined through investigation that the victim and others were in the parking lot when shots were fired.
Emergency services transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Authorities have not publicly released his name, and police are asking anyone with information to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 as the investigation continues.
