An Athens, Tennessee, man is facing more than two dozen child rape and child exploitation charges stemming from an ongoing investigation launched on a tip.

Kenterrius McGuffie, 27, of Athens, was arrested Monday on 13 counts of aggravated rape of a child, 12 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of continual sexual abuse of a child and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor involving more than 50 images by agents assigned to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to a TBI news release from spokesperson Josh DeVine.

McGuffie is being held on a $400,000 bond at the McMinn County Justice Center in Athens, jail officials said by phone.

The probe began Monday when agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning child sexual abuse material being uploaded by a Snapchat user, later identified as McGuffie, DeVine said in the release.

Authorities detained McGuffie at his place of work in Sweetwater while a search of his home was conducted by agents and investigators from the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Athens Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations and the McMinn County Sheriff's Office.

The 10th Judicial District includes Bradley, McMinn, Monroe and Polk counties.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information related to this case to contact 1-800-TBI-FIND.
