Five Star Breaktime Solutions has acquired another work site food provider.
The Chattanooga-based vending machine and micromarkets supplier for offices and factories in 10 states announced Thursday it bought Advanced Refreshment Solutions in Cincinnati. Kirk Beerman founded the company in 2019, offering vending, micromarkets and coffee services to those around the Cincinnati area. Utilizing two routes, Beerman supported his customers for multiple years before selling to Five Star.
“We are both excited and honored that the ownership of Advanced Refreshments has entrusted us to serve their customer base in the Greater Cincinnati area,” Keith Survant, regional vice president of Five Star in Cincinnati, said in a statement Thursday. “We see this as an opportunity to continue providing the quality service that Five Star is known for while also presenting our new customers with additional value-added products and services for their respective break rooms.”
Founded in 1993, Five Star has grown to one of the largest privately held convenience services operators in the United States and is the largest franchise of Canteen, a Compass Group company.
