He is the third person arrested in connection with the May 1 shooting that killed brothers De’Aaron and De’Jyron Triplett, ages 19 and 21.
Last week, police arrested Jamarie Jones, 20, and Darrisha Danforth, 32, in connection with the shooting.
Police saw surveillance video from an apartment complex at 1101 Arlington Ave. that appeared to show Jones putting on a mask then walking into a breezeway and shooting in the direction of the victims. He then left in a car, reportedly driven by Danforth, police said in a report.
Sawyer also put on a mask and walked into the breezeway with the two victims, then appeared to shoot a gun in their direction, according to a police report. He reportedly fled on foot, based on surveillance video.
