Starting times for Tennessee’s first three games of the 2024 football season have been determined, including the opener against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Josh Heupel’s Volunteers and Rusty Wright’s Mocs will open the season inside Neyland Stadium on Aug. 31, with that game having the unique kickoff time of 12:45 p.m. The Tennessee-UTC matchup will be televised by the SEC Network.

The second contest of Tennessee’s season, the Duke’s Mayo Classic on Sept. 7 against North Carolina State inside Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, was previously announced as a 7:30 start on ABC. Tennessee’s third game of the season and its second inside Neyland is against Kent State, and that will have a 7:45 start on the SEC Network.

Thursday’s release of starting times and network information for the first three weeks of the Southeastern Conference season coincided with the league’s spring meetings in Destin, Florida.

ABC previously revealed that it will televise Georgia’s opener against Clemson in Atlanta on Aug. 31 at noon, as well as Georgia’s trip to Kentucky on Sept. 14 at 7:30. On Thursday, it was announced that the Bulldogs would open their Sanford Stadium schedule Sept. 7 against Tennessee Tech at 2, and that it would have the ESPN+/SEC Network+ streaming option.

The biggest wrinkle to the SEC’s television release Thursday involved Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving. On that Friday, ABC will house the doubleheader of Mississippi State at Ole Miss at 3:30 and Georgia Tech at Georgia at 7:30.

Television windows for all remaining SEC-controlled games will be revealed on Tuesday, June 11, with select games tagged as “flex” games between the afternoon and evening windows.
