It’s good to see you there across the screen on this April morning. We begin with two requests, the first one an anonymous query on the subject of rice. “I have a container of arborio rice and want to make risotto, but somewhere I have read that there is an easy version that doesn’t require standing over the stove for a good while. Was it in this column? Did it involve a crockpot? Would appreciate some help.”

As many households and kitchens step into the world of international cuisine, P.L.’s choice is Indian. He will offer one recipe here, but here’s a request for where-to-find.
Mr. T wrote, “Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had was in a gas station in Sweetwater, Tennessee. My lady and I stopped in to fill up and found it was half gas, half restaurant. The place was packed with locals. When you can turn the Rocky Top crowd onto curried goat, that’s a strong statement.”
Do any of you know how to find this restaurant?
