Early voting commenced Wednesday for Chattanooga residents ready to cast ballots in the March 4 city elections.

Candidates for Chattanooga mayor and the nine city council seats will appear on the ballot.

In the 2021 city elections, 28,482 people voted — 10,260 voted early and 2,111 voted by mail, said Scott Allen, Hamilton County administrator of elections, by phone. About 15% of city residents voted in the 2021 election, according to recent U.S. Census Bureau data.

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, 206 people had voted in the 2025 city elections.

City residents can vote early at the Hamilton County Election Commission, the Hixson Community Center and the Chris L. Ramsey Sr. Community Center through Feb. 27.
