Donald Trump spoke at Republican wrestler Hulk Hogan’s funeral in Florida on Saturday. It was a nice tribute. Here is an icon who fought his way to the top against comical opponents, slamming them down, preening to the crowds, waving the American flag and trash-talking the whole way … and so did Hulk Hogan.
Hulk died last week at his home in Clearwater, Florida, although half the country initially thought he faked it. In honor of the great wrestler, flags all around our nation were to be flown at half-Nelson.
America voted in November to change the course of the wussification of our country. Few have regrets. Trump has taken charge and done more good things policy-wise in six months than Biden did in four years. Trump hit the ground running. And when Biden hit the ground, he usually just stayed there until someone came and found him.
This summer is the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden’s Cognitive Decline Coming Out Party (at least for those not willing to admit he had a problem) — also known as Biden’s catastrophic presidential debate performance against Trump. Biden has taken it all in stride, recently telling friends he does not think it will hurt his chances in the presidential election this fall.
The GOP, seizing on Joe’s problems, have taken depositions from several White House staffers. It is history. Let it go. The GOP shouldn’t use lawfare like Democrats. Still, arrogance among Democrats reigns supreme, and most of them have taken the Fifth. If they ever get Joe Biden under oath, fully expect him to take the 25th.
According to the recent Hunter Biden interview, Joe Biden is still bitter about his loss to Trump. He apparently forgot he was pushed out by his party and replaced by Kamala. And, according to insiders, Joe Biden is still angry at all the Democrats who did not attend his funeral.
Democrats would argue that they did have some old school masculinity with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Bill Clinton was 6 feet 3 inches and yet did not play on his small-town Arkansas football team. That is the negative. The positive is that he did like the ladies and went on quite a heater in Arkansas in the ’90s. His presidential library remains the only one with a stripper pole and a two-drink minimum.
From Eisenhower to Reagan, to the Bush family and now Trump, Republicans own the “man card” in national politics. Meanwhile, a famous female consultant is advising the Democrats on how to win the man vote.
The contrived portrayal of vice presidential candidate Tim Walz as a “man’s man” was an epic fail. There is no masculine way, it turns out, to have “jazz hands.” Gavin Newsom also dances with his hands when he talks and presents himself as a community theater mime.
And the worst ever is California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who is desperately trying to occupy the empty man space for Democrats. He has been posting weird videos of himself in a pool and pumping iron at the gym. Looking at “limousine liberal” Swalwell, I deduce that there is no way he actually pumps iron. He does not even pump his own gas.
Masculinity on the left versus the right plays out on the world stage as well. Compare Bebe Netanyahu to, say, a Justin Trudeau. Famed astronaut Katy Perry just went on a date with the former Canadian prime minister. It tracks. She wrote the song “I Kissed a Girl, and Liked It.”
The result? Democratic women are angry Karens, not having kids since they cannot find a man. One liberal woman complained she cannot find a progressive man who is also masculine. I guess the few who are out there are very busy competing in women’s sports.
