Occasionally, we believe, a dose of reality needs to find its way into the media coverage of illegal immigration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement activities and protests against any action taken against those who have come into the country illegally.

Tennessee saw eight reports of first-degree murder by illegal immigrants in 2025, 19 unclassified homicides, four second-degree murder charges, 11 reports of rape of a child, 27 reports of statutory rape, seven reports of aggravated rape, 41 sexual battery charges, 40 aggravated kidnapping reports, 452 aggravated assault reports and 966 domestic assault charges.

And the above list covers just some of the violent offenses perpetrated by illegal immigrants in the state last year.

And yet, some say this is a made-up issue.
