True story. I don’t recall the year, probably sometime in the late ’90s, I dated a guy who was a metallurgist. He told me his company here in Chattanooga had lost the necessary formula for making its product. They searched everywhere with no success. The company sent him to a technical library in Chicago to no avail. They phoned a library in Great Britain; again no success. They had given up.

One Sunday afternoon, this metallurgist took his children to the downtown library, and while they were reading their children’s books he strolled over to a collection donated by the owners of the Wheland Foundry. In one of those books was the much-sought-after and needed formula.

Oftentimes, things of value may seem hidden to people who don’t know where to look. It’s entirely possible the manager of the Spanish soccer team was looking for a secluded place with excellent practice facilities and high humidity to condition his players for play here in the U.S.

Sounds to me like he found the formula he was looking for.
