The Big Orange Caravan is returning to the Chattanooga area but it’s not being held downtown.

On Tuesday, April 28, the annual event celebrating University of Tennessee athletics will make its first stop at the newly opened Riverdance Restaurant located in Guild and overlooking Nickajack Lake. The caravan will contain football coach Josh Heupel, men’s basketball coach Rick Barnes, women’s basketball coach Kim Caldwell, athletic director Danny White and “Voice of the Vols” Mike Keith.

Following its stop at Riverdance, which is 20 miles from downtown Chattanooga, the caravan will move on to Nashville on April 29 and to Tri-Cities on April 30.

The caravan last came to Chattanooga in 2024, when it was staged at the Convention Center. The university announced last winter that Chattanooga and Memphis would start alternating tour stops moving forward and that Memphis would get last year’s event.
