Volunteers from CommonSpirit (formerly CHI) Memorial Hospitals and Medical Group packaged 1,400 meals with staff at the J.A. Henry Community YMCA this month.

The meals will be distributed to local residents in need. The event will help the Y’s goal to serve 25,000 more people by 2028, said J.A. Henry executive director Paula Irwin.

“Our mission extends far beyond providing exceptional health care within our facilities,” said James Williams, chief operating officer of CommonSpirit Tennessee and Georgia. “We are incredibly proud of our employees for stepping up to make a tangible difference in the lives of local children.”
