Tyner senior point guard Xavier Fisher often puts on a show with his flashy passing ability, which has made him one of the best facilitators in the Chattanooga area.

With a career-high 16 assists in a single game earlier this season, Fisher one-upped his passing mark with a game-high 17 points to help the Rams win their fourth straight game, 50-43 over Red Bank at home on senior night Monday.

Fisher fired up his team in the first half as he made a spin move driving in to the paint and hung in the air to make the layup while being knocked to the floor. Not long after, his 3-pointer at the top of the key built a 25-12 lead.

“Coach told me to go out there and do something special on senior night,” Fisher said. “Being a leader means everything to myself, Jatavion (Williams) and Anthony (Sims). We remember when we were freshman and all the hard work we have put in. We just want to enjoy the moment, keep fighting and build around each other.”

Red Bank (20-5) ended the first half on a 10-0 run in which senior star Reco Trimble scored six of his team-high 15 points. Haden Spurgeon and Kendrick Lloyd had key defensive stops in the run which ended with a Kris Clay layup off a bounce pass from Nick Smith to cut the Lions’ deficit to 25-22 at halftime.
