A second case of the coronavirus was confirmed Saturday afternoon in Whitfield County at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.
Daryl Cole, spokesman with the Dalton-based Hamilton Health Care System, said the patient is recovering at home and following quarantine guidelines.
“For now, the statement we are providing is all we are able to release at this time,” Cole said in an email.
Cole added the second case is unrelated to the first case that was confirmed on March 17.
